because obsessions either clash or combine

Oh CRAP! Not ANOTHER Crossover idea! And...it's Death Note and Stargate: Atlantis! HOW THE HELL AM I GONNA AVOID THIS ONE?! *sobs*

WARNING!! COMPLETELY un-edited, un-WRITTEN (this is really just a sort of "let's get our ideas together by kinda writing it!" thing), and this'll eventually make sense if I keep going, I swear. And I'm still learning to write Rodney, so...yeah...

Team Sheppard stumbles across an Ancient "Records Room", or at least that's what they think it is. It contains six visible things- across the back wall, three glass-coated black notebooks. On the left wall, a young man dressed eerily properly, with a blazer and tie on is encased in a different stasis chamber than they've ever seen. On the right wall, in an equally odd stasis chamber, is a dark-haired young man dressed like a slob and hunched over even in stasis. And in the middle of the room, there's what Team Sheppard sees as a big glass case.

Of course Rodney goes crazy over it, since the guys are obviously NOT ancients, and theorizes "these aren't stasis chambers, they're PRISON CELLS". Immediate wariness engulfs the team, and as Rodney heads for the books, John looks at the "empty" glass case.

Teyla and Ronon are just sort of staring at the two guys, trying to figure out what the HECK they're wearing. Poor aliens...

"So if those two are serving life sentences in prison, what's this?" Sheppard asks, and taps on the glass in emphasis. Only to jump back, P-90 immediately in hand, when something inside the glass seems to try and attack him, the glass RIPPLING at the inside punch.

"That's probably got something to do with it," McKay mutters, and backs into the glass case holding the pitch black books.

The whole room rumbles, and all Rodney gets out is a quick "SHIT!" before he's falling through the glass, and both Teyla and Ronon (surprisingly close, since the boys are flanking the books) pounce on him, pushing him back...but getting pulled into the glass case right along with the books, frozen with looks of surprise on their faces, mid-tumble inside the case.

The door they came through to enter slams shut, and no matter how hard either thinks at it, the damn thing won't budge, their radios aren't working AGAIN, and Rodney can't hot-wire it because "some genius only put controls on the entrance side", as McKay puts it.

"It does kinda make sense if it's a prison, though," Sheppard mutters, and Rodney just glares at him.

"Shut up, Major Math."

John smirks. "That's COLONEL Math, thank you."

"Well then, put all your mind-boggling mathematic abilities to work and calculate a way to get THEM out of THERE, and US out of HERE!"

And Sheppard thinks for a moment, and then a display pops up in Ancient right smack dab in front of the door.

"Huh," Sheppard says, frowning at the display, and McKay just stares at him.

"You read Ancient now, too?!"

"Nah, just Wraith," John shrugs. "Needed it for the Darts. But it's a derivative of Ancient, so I can make out most of it."

"Well then, feel free to enlighten us unworthy ones."

Sheppard grins at him, and turns back to the glass casing where their teammates are frozen in comically surprised positions. "Says the door will open when there's no more threat, and a threat is ANYTHING getting near these books. We gotta get them out of here, but it doesn't say how." He paused. "It DOES say how to get these guys out, though." He motions towards the two guys. "You can only do it in Lockdown though, and it won't reopen with either of them out."

"Sounds like logic problems. 'If Savage A is a redhead, then B is pregnant. If Savage B is blonde, F is gay-'"

"RODNEY. I want to get out of here," John snaps.

"Yes, yes," McKay says, and looks over the two imprisoned figures, eyes resting on the malevolent glass case in the middle. "Did it say what was in there?"

"Uh...something about the God of Death, I think," Sheppard shrugs, looking the well-kempt prisoner over.

"Well, this is spectacular. You know I never get enough of near-death experiences. Especially the plague kind, where you can't even see it and it just sort of creeps up on you. As surprising as it may seem to you, I'd rather face a Wraith hive ship any day, because then you can actually try and fight it-"

"McKay."

"- but not that I like the Wraith either, the overgrown leeches. Why the Ancients let them get so out of hand I'll never know-"

"MCKAY."

"- probably had something to do with their parents, honestly, I bet inbreeding was a problem-"

"RODNEY!"

The two stare at each other.

"Snap out of it! We can't open that one."

Rodney blinks. "Oh."

And inside the center case, Ryuuku laughed. Things were FINALLY getting interesting again...

I'm very... lost. Yep. I like it! It's really funny, like the conversations... if there was just a bunch of army guys in a room and this happened... *chuckles* yeah I like it. I sadly, just don't know who the people are... or what's going on at all. But I would read more, the dialog kept me in it. A very good start, I can't wait to read it when it's actually all flowy and everything.

I got the episode, but it wouldn't load on my computer. *Mumbles about dumb Erik, then takes it back* He just hasn't been quite right sense that fall.
