Writing about writing.
Apr. 14th, 2009 12:09 amFor the first time in probably two years, I'm trying to write something that's not crack. While I don't think the fic's going to be boring when it's read, it's reeeaaallly boring to write, mostly because:
(a) I've researched these events to the point where I feel like I'm typing out a very interesting history book, and
(b) there's no big surprises for me.
That's half the fun of crack; you don't have to plot out EVERY scene, don't need to have "this MUST happen at THIS time on THIS day," and don't have any rigid outline. If I want to put in a random scene where Character X and Character Y go cow tipping, I'm damn well gonna write in their cow tipping adventure.
In other news, I talked to the suitemate about having sex in the shower and how we can hear every "oh baby" and "RRRUUUAAAGH" (that'd be her boyfriend and it's a really funny sound) that goes on. She said she'd stop! I Am Proud Of Myself! \o/
