Okay, I feel like an idiot and it's kinda pissing me off that I actually don't know this.

PLEASE EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AFFECT AND EFFECT. I'm fairly certain affect is a verb and effect is a noun, but I could be wrong. Thus, I ask you to help.
